Use of Compressed Air Dryer
Compressed air is required in Health Care Facilities to operate
- Surgical instruments such as saws and pneumatic drills like bone drilling.
- Life Support Equipment like Ventilators
- Respiratory Therapy Apparatus
- Hyperbaric Chambers
- Pneumatic tools for Dental Surgery
- At times as a carrier gas in anaesthesia in place of oxygen which is very expensive.
Moisture Problems
Few process control applications are as critical as installing and maintaining the systems that delivers vital, life sustaining medical air to hospital patients. Moisture (Condensation or water vapour) in Compressed air stream leads to clogging of valves, operation failure, equipment malfunction, corrosion thereby increasing down time and increased maintenance cost of Pneumatic controls. Moisture laden Compressed Air also leads to problems like clogging of neonatal ventilators and seizing of surgical drills.
Dry, quality compressed air is an absolute must for Health Care application.
The Delair Solution
The only positive means of moisture removal from the compressed air stream is the installation of an air dryer. Water vapour can economically be removed by two methods; one is cooling the air and the other method is by adsorption.
Delair offers a wide range of both refrigeration dryers and adsorption dryers for all your needs
For general plant and instrumentation air where requirement is between 3°C PDP to 6°C PDP, delair refrigeration dryers, – FDI Series, does the job.
If the application requires extra dry air and PDP below 2°C then delair has a large range of adsorption Dryers – DC Series and engineered systems.
